Hurricanes:
No hurricane has been recorded in this area in over 125 years, as it is protected by mountain
ranges. This is not a well-known fact. Once this information becomes widely appreciated, it will
create an additional exclusive demand for housing on the North Coast.
Comparative value:
The house is moderately priced, considering the prices being asked for some of the larger houses
in less unique areas. A USD 550,000.00 house is across the street, another one for USD
900,000.00 is an upscale enrichment for the neighborhood.
Investment value:
Costambar has a 24 hour electric power circuit. The area west of Puerto Plata has and will receive
increased investor attention and name recognition due to the Ocean World marine mammal park
and its upscale marina and casino complex and because of the excellent hotels in the area. The
